Home Warranty was not on Closing StatementWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina The offer to buy my home stated that the buyer may buy a home warranty and I would pay for it at closing. The closing statement did not have a line listing any payment for a home warranty. Now, after the closing, the buy has come back asking for that payment. I do not know if the warranty was arranged before or after the closing. Would I still be liable for this payment after the closing is completed? PaulyG |

| You'll have to have your lawyer look at the wording of the purchase contract. If the purchase was discretionary and the buyer didn't exercise it, then you're probably in the clear. If the settlement just omitted a charge that should have been there, you may be on the hook.
