We are seriously considering selling our home for something a little bigger (as empty nesters we went smaller, but it turns out we went a little too small). However, even as we were contemplating whether or not to do so, a local, well known, real estate agent mistakenly put our address as a recently sold home in the area and sent out hundreds, if not thousands of"announcement cards" saying our home just sold. Now does this affect our future ability to sell? Unknown at this point. But is the real estate agent (and/or her company)liable for false advertising and potentially harming our ability to sell our home?
