How can I extend the closing date? What is the name of your state? NJ I am selling my condo. It is set to close at the end of the month. Our original purchase fell through, the new house we are purchasing won't be available for 45 days after the condo closes. Other than going to the buyer with this problem, are there any circumstances under which I could extend the condo closing date without detrimental legal implications against me?? |

| You could ask the buyers for an extention, but if they refuse, your out of luck. Did you have a contingency with your listing stating "Upon seller finding new home"?

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
