how long are most real estate contracts?

What is the name of your state?missouri
we signed a contract for the sellers agent to represent us the buyers of the property we were putting an offer on. i forgot to recieve a copy of the contract. how long is that contract usually good for? it was to only represent us on that property only.
also does anyone know the average contract time length that a real estate company makes you sign if they are representing you to sell your house?
is it 3 months 6 months?

**A: ok, let me take you by the hand and explain my response.
My response was to read your contract. Which means that you need to first get the contract before you can read it right? So why are you asking us? We do not have your contract so can't read it. Are you short of brain cells?
Next, why do you not have YOUR own real estate agent?

**A: I know a lot about real estate contract law and do not appreciate your attitude. Therefore I'll move to the next thread.

from the way ive noticed most of your responses on this site, id say you dont know much about it at all, cause of your so called attitude. i guess if you ask some people a question you get a so called know it all telling people you know all about it without any helpfull responses at all. such as yourself. i dont have an attitude at all better think that one over again maybe its your (i know alot about real estate contract law) that has the attitude. because i havent seen anything you have even actually answered besides smart ass ones. i wasnt trying to start anything at all was just looking for an answer-answer man.

Call and request a copy of contract from your real estate agent.

P.S. HomeGuru is a lawyer, reread his posts. They are a logical approach to the questions you asked.

Hmmm. What's the "average" sized house? Or the "average" lot size? Whatever it is has no bearing on what your house may be. As stated, the ONLY way to know is to simply obtain a copy of the signed listing contract.
