Purchased a house in sept 1998, for 305K with girlfriend and her mother. I put half the down payment, her mother the other half. The third person pays $200 more a month on the mortgage. Nothing legal was drawn up on this agreement. Title is joint tenancy, with all 3 names.
House is now appraised between 470K-500K. Based of 2 legal appraisals.
I decided in Jan 2001 to disolve the partnership. I gave them a bottom line price of 60k to buy me out, of which I was not willing to negotiate further. They are in the process of refinancing, however they are not cooperating.
It is July now, I am meeting with them tomorrow, and based on a phone conversation this AM. The mother eluded to "making me an offer that I may refuse." What are my legal rights regarding this type of situation. Can I force them to sell?
They are living in the house currently, I moved out in March 2001.
I am very frustrated and not sure what steps to take next.

Why are you posting trivia "making an offer you can refuse" So what. Tat information has no bearing on the facts and issues at hand. And why is title JT?
If you get hit by a car and die, the property goes to the mother and girlfriend. Maybe they know this and will make you an offer you cannot refuse.
