indefinite closing dateWhat is the name of your state? California Once in escrow, is there any limit to how long a seller can delay a closing date? The current situation involves a seller that will not set a closing date after escrow has been opened and all contingencies have been removed. What are the options for the buyer to insure a reasonable close of escrow? Last edited by 757norcal; 04-03-2006 at 10:36 PM. Reason: typo |

| What are the options for the buyer to insure a reasonable close of escrow? Have you no contract with the seller, does it not address a closing date because that is the place for a buyer to exercise their options. Do you not have an agent who can press things along in a timely fashion? Or an Atty who is looking out for YOUR interests? Why will the seller not set a closing date another buyer with more money? Looks like to me they would want to close and get their money unless they ahve changed their mind. |

| I agree with pojo2. The written contract provisions apply. |

There has to be a closing date in the written agreement. Look it over closely.
