When we pulled title, we found out that there are two small judgements that appeared. One for the husband that was recorded on 7/23/2003 and one for the wife recorded on 6/7/2000. However, the wife passed away on 3/20/2000, 3 months BEFORE hers was recorded. We have a copy of her death certificate.
Are we still responsible for paying the wife's judgement to clear title? |
**A: yes, unless the creditor already got paid, agrees to waive or you can prove fraud.
