land contracts

Michigan

I own a house which I sold on land contranct. The buyer is months behind on payments.

May I put the house up for sale, or must I evict the buyer first?

You better make sure the buyer's rights are indeed voided by their breach before you accept any new offers. There's no need to evict the buyer before listing, though it might make the property more marketable.

**A: read your contract and get an attorney to file foreclosure.
