Leaky basementPurchased our home four years ago. Seller disclosed on the disclosure statement that the basement did not leak. The basement leaks every time it rains and puddles remain in the basement for days, so much so that you slip if you walk in them. There is no drain tile nor a sump pump. Inspection was not required because there wasn't drain tile. Bought house without a realtor. Do I have any recourse against the Seller after four years. I have pictures which showed the condition of the basement within the first year we owned the home. |

| Thank you for responding. Do you think I should pursue getting a lawyer or just cut out losses. |

In addition, can you prove that the Seller knew and did not disclose the leaking basement condition to you? Did you get an inspection and estimate to remediate the problem? How much are we talking about here? We have no idea what your losses are. If you did not do your homework, it is difficult for us to advise you. |

| Wisconsin is the state. This is the first I have inquired on my problem. I will start with getting an estimate. I started here just to some direction. Never hired a lawyer before. Thanks for your help. Have a nice weekend. |
