Lease OptionsWho is responsible for repairs on property under lease option agreement? It states in the rental agreement, we accept the property "as is". Is this binding? We are in Washington State and there is no RCW I can find to cover this. |

| There either should be 2 separate agreements (the lease and the option to purchase) or if incorporated as one contract, 2 distinct terms and conditions for each. Reason being, if you have not yet excercised your option and your tenancy is not considered under an installment contract, you would be considered strictly a tenant. Hence, L is required to make repairs under the applicable L/T laws. |
