| My fiance put his house on the market and had a buyer in just a few days. When they did the title search he found out the builder had put a lein on it for $2,800. It is true my fiance did not make the final payment but with good reason. When the house was finished we gave the builder the punchout lst of everything that was wrong with the house. He kept making excuses as to why he didn't have the time to even come and check things out. We had another contractor come in and give us a price of much more than the 2,800. We are considering taking him to court instead of just paying him for the work he never finished. What do you think? West Virginia |
