We live in Florida and are in the process of buying a house and I was told that even though we have offered the list price, the owner can still reject our offer. Is this true? If so, under what conditions? Thanks!

Thanks for confirming this. Well, I only hope he's just not "feeling out" the market! This somehow does not seem fair to the buyer.

Just remember the Silicon Valley area when the list price of a home was $550K and the actual sales prices after a bidding war ended up at $895K.

While seller can reject he offer, generally a real estate agent who brings a full price offer expect to reveive a commission. So if the property is listed, and the seller rejects your full price offer with no better offer, he may legally owe the real estate agent a commission anyway.
