What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA
a family member purchases a property/house was put in to buyers name but did not pay for it but turns around and sells the property to another person and keep the money and never paid the orginial family member she purchased it from. What is the recourse and what it the time frame is there a statue of limitations

I can't follow your run on sentence at all. Take every piece of written agreement that you have to a lawyer and see what he can do to you. It don't mean squat in a real estate transaction if it's not written down.
