married couple, wife wants to buy a home without obligation to husband

SD
Married couple. Wife wants to buy a house and husband don't really care. Wife want to purchase a home without having any ties to her husband in case of a divorce or bankrupcy on her husbands part. What legal way is there for her alone to own the house and not have to share with her husband in case of divorce?

Thanks in advance!

Bumping is impolite and unnecessary. What is necessary is to be patient. This isn't no chat room and operators are not standing by to help you. The advice is free to you and it is give by the other posters for free as well.

Even if you owned it only in your name, the fact you acquired it during marriage (and not prior or through inheritance) makes it marital property.

I suspect you need a divorce lawyer more than a real estate one to figure out how to manage this as separate property.
