Is the procedure for purchasing a mobile home, the same as purchasing for a house? If not,what is the biggest difference? I understand that interest rates are usually higher. Is this true? Is their a difference in procedure between licensed homes and homes on a permanent foundation? We are meeting with a broker and agent soon. We would like to have a bit of information and know what kinds of questions to ask!

The biggest decision is if you want to buy on owned land or in a park where you lease the land under your mobile. Get an agent that has experience with mobile/manufactured housing, they will have lenders, inspectors etc lined up.
