What is the name of your state? TX

We were going through the house buying process and everything was going well until we had to make the first extension on the contract. After that we found out that the mortgage guy had not turned in any papers to get started with the closing. So we began to ask lost of questions and he would give very shady answers. Then it became harder and harder to get a hold of him. He was avoiding our phone calls. He finally turned in some papers and it was flagged for mortgage fraud because he had lied about the dates of my employment. This in return made the lenders very weiry of giving us the loan ( even though it was not our fault). Well in the end the seller would not sign another extension (the third). Well the mortgage specialist kept going to try to get the loan before someone else put a contract on the house. Because of his lies we lost about $2000 and we are wanting to fight for it. Do we have a case and if so has anyone else been a victim of a circumstance similar to this one????

we lost the earnest money, inspection, aprasial, and just a bunch of other little things. He knew that he had lied and tried to get us to participate in the lies with him. I am not the type of person that goes to court everytime something goes wrong but we are not the only people that did not get our house and lost a bunch of money because of this mans lies. Our realtor has a few other people also.

So did you sign the application with the lies on it? If so then aren't you accountable just as much as the broker?

I never signed anything saying that I have worked where I live for three years. We just moved here and there is no way that would pass by any means. I sent him all of my w2's from the last two years and there is no way that I could have indicated that I have worked for the same lady for three years. He even tried to get me to get my boss to lie. I am not at fault her I do not do things the crooked ways. I am a very honest christian woman who know that life gets you no where if lies are the reason you get anywhere.
