My fiance broke our engagement after buying a house together & now won't sell

What is the name of your state? Texas

My wedding is off after my fiance and I bought a house 50/50 with a 100% loan. We had just moved in and had only made one house payment. My name is on the lease and the deed but I have moved out of Texas, back to my home state of Washington. He refuses to sell and now I don't know what to do to get my name off the 30 year note without hurting my credit. He says he will refinance after six months but I don't think his income is enough to be approved - if he even refinances at all. The man is a liar. I'm only 22 - he is 26 and he works in a law firm. He Threatens that he can not be forced into anything because he is in a power position. I feel stuck. Please help me.

My response:

He's in no "power position" - - whatever the hell that means.

All you need to do is sue him, in a Texas court where the property is located. The cause of action is called "Partition."

Talk to your lawyers at the office. They'll explain it further.
