Need Advice ASAP, Getting Money

What is the name of your state? Maryland

Hello my problem is a dandy I believe. Sold my house, went to closing on Friday. Some issues arose from that closing. A corporation is buying the house to use as rental property. Well only two of the three people showed. Long story short, we signed all paperwork and waited for the third person to sign everything on Saturday. She did, however the title company wouldn't let the money go on a Saturday. So with the holiday we were supposed to get the money yesterday through a wire transfer. This has not happen due to another issue. The buyers owe $1000.00 in closing, they brought a $21,000 check for closing and closing costs were 22,000.

Well they have not wired in that money yet and the title company is holding my money because of that. Can they legally do that and should I be getting a lawyer at this point.

Thanks.

Mike

Realize too that the new deed has still not been recorded to reflect new ownership of the property. To protect your credit, be sure you make any payments due to your current mortgage company as of September 1 (unless you own this property outright).
