New House ModificationsWhat is the name of your state? Virginia our home is new construction with major modifications and upgrades to standard floorplan and elevation. We requested wooden shelving in all closets (except linen) and was quoted a price for that. When we did our walkthrough We realized the wood was a composite and very inexpensive. Queried the builder and was provided a memorandum that stated " I am informing that we do not use real wood, etc..) We closed and took possesion on 7 February. Do I have any legal recourse for a refund for the upgrade that requires wooden shelves versus what was provided? [/b][/quote] **A: yes, if there was an upgrade from composite to real wood and you paid for this upgrade. Additional Info. At walkthrough builder said they used composite. The standard closet would have wire shelving. Our contract modification was for an upgrade to wooden shelving. Builder used composite versus real wood. Would not have agreed to such a high price for $50 worth of composite wood. Do I have legal recourse? |

| Additional Info. Contract was done in June 02 with upgrades and in February during walkthrough builder provided memo stating they were informing us that time they used composite only. The standard closet would have wire shelving. Our contract modification was for an upgrade to wooden shelving. Builder used composite versus real wood. Would not have agreed to such a high price for $50 worth of composite wood. Do I have legal recourse? |

__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
