Ohio Real Estate Spouse LawsThe state of transaction is Akron, Ohio. Trying to purchase my divorced parents house and have run into a snagg. According to the realitor there is a law in ohio that says no properity transaction can take place without the spouse knowing about it. My mother is re-married in the state of PA. I am not sure I know what the problem is, but my step-father refuses to sign any papers. Is this a valid law, is there any way around this, anything I can do to continue? This is a low budget purchase and I can not afford an atterney, but anything anyone can suggest. Sorry about my horrible spelling. Thank You Dan |

| If both parent's names are on the deed then, both people need to sign the new deed when the property is transfered.
