I've been told that people over 55 will receive a "One Time Exemption" from paying real estate taxes when selling their primary residence. Wonder if this is true?

I don't believe that law exist anymore concerning age of owner. As long as you own the property as a primary residence, and it's not an "investment or income" property, the closing company will not issue a 1099.
