Open PermitsWhat is the name of your state? NY Buyer's title company says we have open permits on garage and fireplace. What does this mean, what do I need to do to resolve and how long does that normally take? |

| it means a permit was pulled for intended work and nobody ever called the inspector to inspect the work and give his "ok" on the work. Call the building inspector to do a final inspection on whatever work was being done so he can sign off on the work performed. In my area, it would take less than a week to do this.

| Hopefully the work was done to code and will not need to be corrected.

| This may end up easily resolved or it may get ugly. |
