POA of soldier sonWhat is the name of your state? Florida My 20 yr old son is out of state training to leave for Iraq shortly and I am his legal POA. I signed a pre-construction house contract for him last wk and will close on his construction loan next month. I am borrowing $20,000 for him to assist with the down payment. He has no will as has owned nothing until now. What is the best way to protect my $20,000 loan in the event something bad happens. Would it be good to be on the title and then be able to get off when loan repaid? Thanks |

| I'm not a lawyer! I probably shouldn't speak here but I would think that the best thing you can do is to see an estate planning attorney and have your son draw up a will, just in case. I know it's a hard topic to broach but it's best to prepare for the unthinkable in advance. God bless you and your son for the sacrifice you both are making. ![]() |
