im am from NJ and i just purchased a new building. on june 11 2001 was the closing on the building purchased. on june 8 2001 the roof of the building had a leak. the owner fixed the leak the following day. at the closing there was no mention of the leak and everything went as planned. now on june 14 the roof leaks again. our realter tells us that this is our problem now because the building is in our name. does anyone have any advise?

Your Realtor is not a good one. Did you get a building inspection prior to closing? When the first leak ocurred did you request that a licensed roofing contractor fix the problem and give you a warranty? Did you follow up on the repaired leak? If no one mentioned it, you shoud have, right?
