Purchasing a Home in South Carolina

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina

I am purchasing a FSBO home in Calhoun Falls, SC. The owner is carrying the note. I have heard that I need an attorney to draw up a contract for the sale. How do I go about finding such an attorney? And does anyone know about how much an attorney charges to draw up a contract? Having owned a home in AZ I used an escrow company. But it seems SC requires an attorney.

Depends on the complexity of the deal.

I don't know about REQUIRES.... but given that you are in a 'private' sale, I STRONGLY recommend you have an attorney to protect your interests.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
