Real Estate Closer

What is the name of your state? Florida

I'm processing a file where the husband was the only one that signed the contract. Can i legally add the wife to the title of the house even if she did not sign the contract.

Thanks

Are you doing this on your own or with the husband's permission?

You are the closer - right.

Since the husband is the only name on the contract - you WILL need permission from him before adding the wifes name to the title. Don't you have an attorney as a supervisor or boss?

No kidding. The title company you are closing for should have an attorney available to them to review the situation and documents in total and advise.
