Real estate/divorce questionWhat is the name of your state? New York State In my divorcee decree it is ordered that the house that my ex and I bought while we were married be put up for sale and sold immediately. Needless to say that was back in April. My ex is refusing to sign any of the contracts because he wants to sell the house for $78k when the market value is $96. I have received four signed contracts by potential buyers and lost those sales due to his refusal to sign. I do have an attorney but to be honest I don't have much faith in him and am seriously considering replacing him. He is supposed to bring this before a judge to show that we have had offers and my ex has denied them. (We think he wants to sell to someone he knows and pocket the profit so that I don't make any money off the sale of the house) My attorney says the judge can give me permission to sign my ex's name to a contract I agree to. Is this true and what are the chances of that happening? Thanks for your help! |

He's an idiot. ******* He is supposed to bring this before a judge to show that we have had offers and my ex has denied them.
