Real Estate Law

My name is Darrel and I live in Atlanta, GA. I am wondering what my rights are as to posting "open house" sings the day of the event. My realtor has put up signs for a open house and the president of the association has threatened legal action if we do this again. In the by-laws for the association it states:

Except as may be provided for herein or as may be requried by legal proceedings and except for signs which may be erected by Declarant related to the development and sale of Units, no signs, advertisinig posters, politcal placards or billboards of any kind shall be erected, placed or permitted to remain on the Condominium without the prior written consent of the Board or its designee. The Board shall have the right to erect reasonable and appropriate signs on behalf of the association.

Now that that is stated, my question is, What rights do I have? They won't allow me to put a sign up on the day of my open house, but they allow a gentleman that owns 25 units in the building to post a sign out front (permanent) that allows him to rent. When my real estate agents try to show my place they are stopped at the front door and made to look at the rental properties instead of mine. How is it fare to allow one person all the rights. They are prohibbiting me from selling my home. What can I do?

That's because you live in a condo project with those silly rules.
