refinancing...finding another mortgage company

What is the name of your state? Arizona
I need to refinance my home and was wondering what costs go along with that. Do I need another appraissal? What steps must I take to protect myself? What is a prime mortgage rate?

***You are better off asking a mortgage broker those questions as some of the costs are negotiable depending on your situation. You do need another appraisal and a credit report done. Get a Good Faith Estimate of all your costs and ask how much it will costs to lock in your inteerest rate. Mortgage rates fluctuate from day to day. These are not legal questions, get advice from your banker.***

A prime mortgage rate is an interest rate that is offered to A+ borrowers; those that have an excellent credit history and score etc.
