Scam!!

What is the name of your state? MA

Hi!

My Uncle showed me a house that he had picked up a few days before. My husband and I loved the house and told him we want this house so, what do we do next! meaning lets do an otp. my Uncle said don't worry!! I'll write something up! The house is yours (Yep you guest it we never did an offer to purchase.) we beleived in him. A couple of days later my husband called him and he said the house was sold! The Lady that ownes the house was in a nurseing home and he said that there were 3 people that could buy the house before us, I beleive the term used was, a right of first refuseal. He said the Nephew paid the asking price of 325.000. My Husband and I would of offered more for the house if we were given the chance.
Now we found out that it was all a big lie and not a Nephew that bought the house. He sold it to someone that buy's houses off of him all the time. Now here's the kicker the day before this house was going to close the Lady in the nurseing home died! Now this puts a halt on the sale. I still would love to purchase this home and I was thinking of calling the daughter of the deceased just to let her know that this sale thats about to go through wasn't done in the right way! What I mean by that is my uncle never listed or showed the home to anyone but me and his friend. I know he received the key for the house on a wed and took an offer to purchase on a Sat. Well that's what he said anyway. Is there anything else I can do. I can't see people getting ripped off this way!

Thanks! Lynzee

I still would like to know if there is anything else that I could do here? If I confront the daughter and tell her that I would of offered more for the house if I were given the chance would she be able to break the contract or is there anything legally that she or I can do!

How long is a purchase and sales agreement valid for in ma?

all responses welcome
