Purchased home Sept. 2000. Seller claimed NO defects in the plumbing system. Since Sept. we've had 5 visits from our plumber - cutting out roots from the main sewer line. (Probably more than just a root problem). We called our realtor regarding problem, she in turn called previous owners who denied any previous problems. She took their side and washed her hands of us. Plumber has a different story, claims the previous owners were regular customers for this root problem. But as soon as "court" was mentioned, the plumbers previous records didn't exsist. Question: Sue the previous owners? If so, small claims or get an attorney.

Hire an attorney.
