| seller wants to make the house a rental, not list in MLS What is the name of your state? oregon.
First, I am a realtor. But outside of that, my friend had me meet her neighbors because they were going to sell their home and she & I want our families to live close to each other, I met them, saw the home, it was indeed a good fit for me ... they were supposed to go into the MLS with their realtor later that week and decided to put the brakes on that right after I got off the phone with their realtor wanting to set an appt. for an offer I wanted to present to them.. Their realtor called me back and said they are thinking of keeping the house as a rental and its not going on the market at this time. But I am under the impression after talking to my friend - their neighbor, that they want to wait a few months and go FSBO, possibly to me if they dont make it into a rental. If they can withdraw from their listing contract can they still sell to me & my family, does the listing contract have to expire? Would the fact my friend first introduced me to the property and the sellers make herthe 'procuring cause' if a sale came out of all this, or after I contacted their realtor is there no way I can make this house mine with out going thru her? Would I somehow be in an ethical violation if I bought this home directly from them at a later date? |
