Seller wants out

I received conformation from my realtor on Saturday that my offer on a home was accepted (my realtor has this message from the other realtor saved on his voicemail).

On Sunday evening, the seller's realtor contacted my realtor and told him that they were no longer accepting my offer, as they received a better offer.

Unfortunatly all I have is the verbal recognition. I signed my portion of the contract and my realtor gave this to the seller's realtor. But, I have nothing signed by the seller.

I'm afraid that have no shot at this home, but would certainly welcome any thoughts on this matter...and whether it would/would not be worth pursuing. Thanks!

You have no contract;
unless you have an accepted offer with the Seller's signatures on it.
