Seller witheld information

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Indiana

My parents bought a home just a little over a year ago. In the last few day the septic system has stoped working-the leach beds are not leaching properly and the tank is backing up in their home. When my father had someone out to drain the tank he stated that he was out here shortly before they bought the house and told the prevous owner that the leach beds were not working properly. He stated that if the problem was not fixed there would be expensive rapaires that would have to be made. On the non-disclosure the prevous owner signed he specifically stated that there was nothing wrong to his knowledge with the septic system. My parents have put a great deal of money into this home and my question is- are they responsible for the repairs- it's in the ball park of 15,000. I have recieved much information from friends and family, mainly that the cost has to equal a certain percentage of the price of the home and that if it's more than a year there just out of luck. Any information will be helpful. I think they should persue legal action however they have so much money invested already I think they unsure.

**A: On the non-disclosure? Don't you mean disclosure statement?

**A: stop listening to friends and family that know nothing about Indiana real estate contract and disclosure law and start talking to a real estate attorney.
