the sellers are delaying the Close of Escrow.

What is the name of your state?

We are buying a new construction condo here in northern California.
We are signing the COE papers this week. We are meant to record on June 24th. The title company just informed us that the sellers are having some disagreement and that 1 of the 2 sellers is refusing to sign the closing papers. Now the sellers are telling us that the COE may "be delayed" several days.
What should I do at this point? I thought both buyer and seller had to obey the contract.
I am also concerned as my "locked-in" loan rate expires this Monday June 26th.
Thank You,
Rudy Boy

I take it you have no agent and no atty looking out for YOUR interests. Yes, they must abide by the contract and perhaps it is time you seek legal advice and allow that person to inform the sellers you have a valid contract that will be adherred to.
