Selling home, emergency problem!

My mother is selling a house she purchased and rented to us for 2 years. After she bought the home she met someone and got married. The guy left after a few months but she has not had the money to get divorced etc. Now we are trying to close on her house and the agent says we need his signature for the deed as sellers. He has to be aded due to their getting married since she bought the home and without it she cannot sell. We are 5 days from closing isn't there a way around this?

You said AFTER she bought the house she met and married this guy, so we can assume he isn't on the title or loan. Premartial property is not part of a divorce settlement. That is her house and it should not need him in anyway shape or form.
