Selling a home soon after purchase...

I live in Colorado and I purchased my home just over a year ago. I'd heard that I shouldn't sell it before 2 years. Is there a legal (tax) reason for this, or is this a common sense kind of thing? Thanks for the help.

**A: it is for tax benefits like exemption on your capital gain.
Please post on the Tax Law board for specifc advice.
