Sold house

The first house I owned I sold 6 months ago on my own. I recently got a call from the new owner that the house has a septic system. I was told when I bought it that it was hooked up to town sewer like every house on the road. I went through all the paper work that I had on it including the original MLS sheet that says town sewer. The new buyer wants us to pay for the work to connect to the town sewer. They did not contact us until after the work was done. My question is this my problem? State is Connecticut.

**A: yes it is, if you do not have anything in writing from the town confirming sewer hook-up.
