Stamp Taxes - doesn't the seller normally pay these? Even for Bank or F. Mae owned?

What is the name of your state? Michigan

I didn't think that Fannie Mae owned properties had to pay the stamp taxes. What is this noise all about?

Didn't we dump a lot of tea into Boston Harbor over this issue?

If we're talking about recording fees for the mortgage/deed of trust. They are not exempt, however they have negotiated reductions in fees with many states.
