I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS FOR ALMOST 3 YRS NOW. WHEN I PURCHASED MY HOME THE "BROKER" ARRANGED FOR A TERMITE INSPECTION WITH THE SELLER ALTHOUGH THE HOUSE WAS RENTER OCCUPIED BY MYSLEF..THOUGHT IT WAS A BIT ODD BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE HAD COME THRU ME. ANYWAY OBVIOUSLY I GOT A CLEAR TERMITE INSPECTION. FOUR MONTHS LATER I FOUND OUT I HAD TERMITIES IF FACT HAD THEM FOR A WHILE. TRIED CALLING EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THE PURCHASE INCLUDING TERMITE COMPANY. WAS IGNORED. HAD A FRIEND (NOT A REAL ESTATE LAWYER) TRY TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM. HE GOT NOWHERE EITHER. I HAVE DEALT WITH GOVERMENT ACENCIES TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION BECAUSE A REAL ESTATE LAWYER WANTS MINIMUM $5,000. TO TAKE THE CASE ALTHOUGH THEY ALL AGREE I HAVE A VERY GOOD CASE. TERMITE INFESTATION IS DOCUMENTED BY 3 DIFFERENT TERMITE COMPANIES. THE COMPANY WHO DID MY REPORT JUST WROTE THERE WAS PREVIOUS INFESTATION WHERE THE CURRENT INFESTATION IS THINKING SINCE I HAD LIVED IN THE HOUSE ALMOST 5 YRS BEFORE I BOUGHT IT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 5 YRS BEFORE I DISCOVERED IT. THE ATTONERY GENERALS OFC IN MO WROTE SEVERAL LETTERS AND THEY JUST DENIED ANY WRONG DOING AND KEPT REFERRING TO PREVIOUS TREATMENT (WHICH WAS NO MORE THAN 12 INCHES AWAY FROMT HE CURRENT INFESTATION) ATTORNEY GENERAL SAYS THEY CANNOT FORCE THE OWNER OF THE TERMITE COMPANY TO ACT ON THIS AND I SHOULD SEEK LEGAL REPRESENTATION BUT I CAN'T AFFORD TO DO SO AT THIS TIME. HELP!!!!!
