Three day attorney review period

I have just signed a sales and purchase agreement to buy my first home... My question is: Can the seller accept another offer during the three day attorney review period? I know there can be backup offers contingent upon my abiding by the sales agreement but can the seller actually sell the home to another buyer during the three day attorney review period?? I live in NJ just in case it matters..... Thanks!!

"Can the seller accept another offer during the three day attorney review period?"
*** No. That review and rescind period is available to allow the BUYER the chance to reconsider and cancel.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

**A: the Seller accepting an offer to sell the home during the 3 day period would be a back-up offer. And the Seller may accept numerous back-up offers during the 3 day period. And the move from a back-up position to first Buyer position would be contingent on the termination of your offer and not by your abiding by the sales agreement.
So if I am reading your question correctly, my response would be yes.

Damn, we are going to play symantics today, aren't we???

The REAL answer to the underlying concern by this poster is.... NO, the seller does not have the right to cancel or void your signed contract and sell to another during the required three-day review period.
I think that more accurately describes the writers clear concern.

If that was the writer's clear concern, then damn I agree with you.
But you must agree that the post was a bit confusing. The writer asked "can the Seller accept another offer during ..."

To me, the possible 'confusion' in the first sentence was resolved when they said:
"I know there can be backup offers contingent upon my abiding by the sales agreement but can the seller actually sell the home to another buyer during the three day attorney review period?? "

**A: and just what does "abiding by the sales agreement" supposed to mean?

I read it as.... 'if I don't breach the agreement'....
