Transaction Broker

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? KS

Property Location, KS
Realtor Location, MO (also licensed in KS)
Owner Location, OR
My sister and I are preparing to enter into a contract to sell our agricultural property in Kansas. The contract sent by the listing agent is filled out with contract begin and end dates (spanning 1 year), and a check mark consenting to allow the Broker to act as a Transaction Broker. I’ve read the description of the term as provided with the contract. The only thing I got out of it is a Transaction Broker does not represent my interest as a seller or represent the buyer’s interest. That seems difficult to do, it also seems like a conflict to my interests for which I’m paying a commission.

Could someone explain the advantages and disadvantages to using a Transaction Broker and any credible alternatives?

Thank you

Doug, you get your own real estate agent to represent your interests.

How is that accomplished if I give her permission to be a Transaction Broker?

**A: talk to your broker about an exclusive right to sell listing.
