Question

Unable to sell

What is the name of your state? California

I'm in San Diego California, trying to sell my "Condo"..... In 1993 I bought my condo and the seller took back a second for $4200. I paid this off about 5 years ago. I paid him cash each month and got a reciept, he refused checks. He has moved back to the Middle East and I have lost all the paper work on his payments. I'm trying to sell me condo and need this 2nd to be reconvied to clear the title. I know I can post a $8400 bond, but this is more money then I have. I was told I could do a quiet title action throgh the court. Soooooo my question is: without any proof of payment, do I have a chance to get this done. Also is there an Attorney in the San Diego area that can help with this?
Thanks
Ed

**A: that's good but how come you did not get a release of mortgage signed by Seller and the recorded on title?
