Question

undisclosed home problems

I purchased a home in Kentucky in October, 2001. We had an inspection done, but it did not cover a septic tank inspection. This Spring, we noticed major wet spots and had it confirmed that there was raw sewage in our yard. From talking with a neighbor, the previous owners had a lot of work done to the septic tank system. They did not disclose any of this information to us. The home was "For Sale by Owner" and a real estate agent was not used. Do we have any recourse? Are the previous owners liable for the repairs? Thanks.

**A: you have a claim against the Sellers. Get the problem fixed asap and also hire a real estate attorney to file a complaint against the Sellers.
