| we received a full-price offer on the home we are selling, with minor contingencies.
we told our broker we would fax an acceptance the next day.
we then realized we did not want to sell, and have neither signed nor faxed anything. the broker has not opened escrow. an earnest money check was received but i do not think it has been deposited.
having said on a phone message that we would accept the offer, are we obligated to sign the agreement and legally accept the offer?
this is in california. (we realize we may have to pay the sales commission, but that is a separate issue). |
