my mortgage broker decided to meet with the seller and the seller's agent to discuss my financing without consulting with me. Prior to this event, I questioned the seemingly high closing costs and rates that were being charged for my brokers efforts in this transaction. The broker is charging 3% of the total price of the home, which amounts to about $7,020. I know I have less than perfect credit, but this seems ridiculous. Furthermore, I had negotiated with the seller to reduce the asking price of the property by several thousand dollars, plus pay closing costs, which the seller agreed to do. Upon presenting this information to my broker, with a few strokes of the pen my buyng price was not only more than the bargained price, it was now higher than the original asking price. I feel as though I am being ripped off and that my rights and privacy have been violated, what, if any, recourse do I have in this matter? |
