Who is resposible for clean-up?

What is the name of your state? Colorado
Hello, my name is Jessica, we recently sold our modular home. The home was in a trailer park, and the buyer planned on moving the home to a private piece of land. Before she did, she completely gutted the inside of the home, (walls, carpet, etc.) And left everything in the park. The park manager is now trying to get us to pay for the clean up that they had to have done, which is about $1,000. I feel that since she bought the home, she should be responsible for the clean up of the lot that she moved it from. On top of all that she still owes us $2,000 for the home its self, she has yet to pick up the title for the home, and she is not returning our phone calls. Do we have any legal options here?
Thanks,
Jessica Wilson

Who owns or rents the lot? That person is responsible. That person can then sue the person who caused the mess, for the money they spent correcting the problem.

**A: in this case the writer rents the lot since title still has not changed hands. The writer is in a mess here. No house but a lot of headaches.

YOU allowed this. At this point, you need a local attorney to straighten out the mess that you made.

Pay the clean up costs and then turn around and sue the buyer in small claims. (Protect your credit and history).
