Would you consider this reasonable?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Indiana

Seller is hellbent on making repairs himself, which we've requested be done by licensed contractors. This includes sealing leaks in the foundation.

Would you agree to this, subject to a satisfactory follow-up inspection, or would you stick to your instincts and refuse, since he's already shown himself to be a guy who believes in squeezing the nickel till the buffalo sh*ts?

If you want the repairs to be made by a professional and you requested that the Seller pay for it**************..and the Seller wants to do the repairs without a contractor......you and the seller are NOT in agreement.

Your instincts are correct......have a professional at least do any work that requires government inspections and permits (i.e. Electrical, HVAC, Structual, etc.)**************..that way your not just chasing down the seller when a defect or problem comes up in the future!!!

Hopefully, the agreement is not written on a napkin, and the buyers are using the services of a real estate agent or attorney**************advice based on assumption....
