What is the name of your state? Georgia

I am trying to find out if my son can choose which parent he wants to live with. If he can at what age does he have to be and how we do going about doing it. My ex and I have joint physical custody. I have since remarried and now have 3 step-sons and and an 8 month daughter. We are wanting to move out of state, its only 1 1/2 hrs away. But, my son wants to come with us. And we can't do that with the EOW visits. In our papers it states that my son could only attend school in two certain counties in our state. And actually he is NOT even attending school in either of those counties right now. But, if he was able to choose which parent he wanted to live with, I thought that might be better. We are moving to get our kids out of the schools and area that we live in right because it has been taken over by gangs and drugs. My kids have already been offered drugs in bathroom at school. Can anyone please help me and tell me what I can do?????
