If the parents were to decide to settle the arrears between themselves, could the custodial parent drop the support order? The children are adults and now live on their own.

I believe that if the parents want to draw up an order between themselves then the court would consider it. The judge would rather let the 2 decide something like this than have the court take time but it is at their discretion.
